NIGERIAN FASHION STYLISTS WHO MADE THE BEST OF 2016

If you know the amazing writers of Stylevitae, you will know that we always love to recognize hardworking, dedicated and thriving people who significantly make a difference in Nigeria’s fashion scene.

Today we have decided to dedicate this entire post to the fashion stylists who made the best of 2016. As we all know last year was a very though year for everyone, but these set of individuals damned the economy problems, focused on their work and made sure difference was made.

Male fashion stylist, to female fashion stylist, we have a list of people who had a very good year in 2016 and who we certainly and looking to see what they have in store for your this new year.

In no particular other, here are the list of stylists of 2016.

The Style Infidel ( Oluwatosin Ogundadegbe )

Tosin had a great year filled with amazing collaborations, styling and more. He was responsible for making major celebrities look gorgeous last year including Adeswa Etomi, Rita Dominic, Linda Ejiofor, Toyosi Phillips and more.

He was also involved in shaping the creative side of lookbooks such as Sule Nigeria, Elan Red, Tiskies Brand and the list goes on. He was also the official stylist for Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Moofa Designs and Nuraniya for Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2016. He truly had a beautiful year.

Rhoda Ebun ( Rhoda Ebun Ogunsina )

Rhoda was involved in making a difference this year with her amazing paring of outfits, collaborations and more. Last year she was responsible for making a lot of celebrities light up the red carpet, TV shows and event including Vimbai, Marcy Dolapooni, Bolanle Olukanni among others.

She also styled some amazing campaigns such as Omowunmi Ready To Wear, Black Opal Beauties and more. We couldn’t be more proud of how far she has come in the fashion industry.

Jekwuthestylist ( Chukwujekwu Mbaebie )

Jekwu is one talented individual, always looking out for evolve in the fashion industry and beyond. Last year was a really good year for him as he was opportuned to work with MTN, Headies, GTB Fashion Weekend and more.

He was able to get celebrities to look their best in 2016 in the fashion and entertainment scene. Falz The Bhad Guy, Olamide, 2face Idibia, Chobams, Ycee, Humble Smith, Timini and a host of others were all given a Jekwuthestylist touch and they all turned out dope. He really did so well in 2016!

Hyperfashun ( Ifeoma Odogwu )

Fashion editor for Genevieve Magazine Ifeoma Odogwu is one stylist who has made a name for herself, styling TV shows like Jara, editorials for Genevieve and red carpet. Ifeoma has always been the go to girl when it comes to dressing Sika Osei, Toolz, Uti Nwachukwu, Helen Paul and Michelle Dede.

She puts in hard work when it comes to her job, and 2016 was so evident as she continues to grow the fashion scene with her creative mind.

Jane Michael Ekanem

Stylist extraordinaire Jane Michael is one hardworking, dedicated and professional stylist who knows her craft. Over the years she has developed herself to become a stylist with a difference. Last year she appeared on CNN African Voices, This Day Style Rising Stars and more.

She was the assistant head stylist to GTB Fashion Weekend. Jane was able to make a few celebrities look amazing last year including Somkele, Simi, Stephanie Coker, Dorcas shola Fapson, Adeswa Etomi and more. She really stood out in 2016, we cannot wait to see the magic she creates in 2017.

Yolande Okereke

Fashion stylist Yolande is mainly in charge of the nollywood scene. Styling top actresses for fashion events including Lala Akindoju, Ajoke Silva, Rita Dominic and more.
